There are many reasons besides diet why your cholesterol might be high.
The root cause could be stemming from problems with your liver, gallbladder, thyroid, adrenals, pancreas, and/or anterior pituitary. In fact, 72 different combinations of organ and glandular imbalances can cause problems with high cholesterol levels. Putting someone on a statin drug for high cholesterol does not get to the root cause of the problem and it creates problems (or, as they put it, "side-effects").
Some of these side effects include:
-Liver and pancreatic damage
Many of our patients have been able to eliminate the use of their medications (including statin drugs) after we have determined the root cause of their high cholesterol. Then, through proper diet and precise supplements, their bodies were able to balance endocrine function and normalize cholesterol levels without medication. We have had confirmation of this through follow-up blood tests and of course their MD's were informed and were usually a part of the process.
